Our Methods for Transforming Impoverished Regions:

Networking

Networking is important to maximize resources and to have people and organizations involved in their own area of expertise.  Everyone brings to the table that which they are good at and have the best resources to provide. Networking builds relationships, and provides everyone involved with more than one point of view.  Networking follows the biblical pattern of "many parts but one body" that is set forth in the Bible.

Team Building and Mentoring

Team building and mentoring is really networking on a smaller level.  The same principles apply.  Everyone contributes to the team from their own area of unique gifting and anointing so that nothing is lacking in the ability of the team to be effective in the task at hand.  No one person has all the gifts and talents needed for success.  Teams are a good place to mentor others in developing their own skills and gifts.   Those who are being mentored can learn by both seeing a job done by others, and doing it themselves under the supervision of those who are more experienced.  Hands-on experience (the way Jesus taught His disciples) is a more effective way to learn than lessons taught in a classroom only.  The ability to build teams and to work as part of a team is what we want to deposit in the people we come into contact and relationship with.  This helps defeat the spirits of competition, jealousy, and division that have kept the body of Christ compromised in its ability to fulfill the great commission.  In areas where tribalism, mistrust, jealousy, envy and suspicion are strong, the team mentality (many parts, one body, one purpose etc) is very important to establish and guard.

Funding

Funding should follow the Biblical principle of sowing.  In the kingdom of God everything increases and produces fruit.  Funding should be measured against the potential for increase and the probability of success.  We have the responsibility of mentoring others in this point of view so that the ability to fund a work is something that we are teaching as well as demonstrating by our own actions.  As we provide funds for the building of children's homes and other humanitarian projects, we will be teaching biblical principles of doing business as missions and mentoring, so that the leaders in these regions will develop a new mentality of self reliance.  The goal is that we will partner in building and developing, but not sustaining.  Local people will have ownership and sustain the missions work in their communities, thus ending the dependence on foreign aid.

Meeting Needs of Children Living in Poverty

Jesus makes it clear in the Gospels that “True religion before God is to take care of the widow and the orphan (those who are not able to take care of themselves)” James 1:27.  Our purpose as an organization is to demonstrate in deed as well as word the directives of scripture.  We want people to see that we love God by loving those whom the world largely ignores, knowing also that Jesus said "As you have done to the least of these so you have done to me." Mathew 25:40. We sow into the lives of children with the expectation that fruit will be produced.  We have the opportunity with children to set them on a new course of righteousness and blessing from past generations as we sow into their lives in education, food, clothing, love and knowledge of salvation and a God who loves and cares for them and has a plan and purpose for their future.  They are our "foot in the door" to influence the next generation and change the generational patterns from cursing to blessing.
